About This Part

Force is a disc Takara Tomy released early in the Burst System, debuting in Japan on December 26th, 2015 with the B-23 Xcalibur Force Xtreme starter before reaching the west through Hasbro's Raging Roktavor R2 and Xcalius dual pack. It carries a symmetrical, diamond-like outline built from four armour-styled protrusions, two tucked behind the disc's prongs and two left exposed, letting it line up with a layer's own protrusions such as the heads on Gigant Gaia or add balance to lopsided layers like Xcalibur as they wear toward bursting. Despite its heavy look it weighs less than rivals like Heavy or Gravity, which blunts its usefulness in both attack and stamina roles.

In Play

Its aggressive profile lends something to attack combinations, but Heavy and Gravity outperform it on the same job, and the arrival of heavier discs such as 0 and 7 has left Force too light for serious competition, so it is best kept for a collection.

  • Brought west through Hasbro's Raging Roktavor R2 and Xcalius dual pack.

The Competitive View

Few Layers actually share Force's diamond shape to benefit from its corner-weighted distribution, and its small overall size limits how much weight it can distribute even when paired correctly.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Force's light weight and situational weight distribution leave it outclassed by other Discs, especially with the arrival of heavier Core Discs and Frames; it is recommended for collection purposes only.

  • Diamond shape with weight concentrated at four corners

  • Intended to pair with diamond-shaped Energy Layers, though few such Layers exist to exploit it.
