About This Part
Drake is a disc Takara Tomy produced for the Gatinko Layer branch of the Burst line, debuting in Japan on June 22nd, 2019 with the B-144 Zwei Longinus Drake Spiral' Metsu booster, then reaching western shelves as Drake-P through Hasbro's Ace Dragon Drake-P Reboot Zan starter pack. It combines a plastic piece riveted to a metal piece into a four-sided shape, two of whose sides carry larger dragon-head engravings meant to line up with the Zwei base after enough clicks. In practice that alignment adds little for Zwei-based builds, and the plastic's low hang leaves it prone to scraping, so it does not distribute weight well for other layers either.
In Play
Even in the combinations it was designed to complement, the community rates heavier options like Sting or Blitz above Drake, and newer discs with better weight spread have left it firmly in collection-only territory.
