About This Part
Convert is a disc-type part made by Takara Tomy for the Gatinko Layer System branch of the Burst line, first shipped in Japan on September 21st, 2019 inside the Union Achilles Convert Xtend+ Retsu booster, then brought west by Hasbro under the Convert-P name in a Pro Series starter pack. Physically it is a wide, four-sided piece whose corners are more pointed than similar discs like Sting, with its metal ring hanging noticeably low, and a plastic layer that can be twisted between a "Normal Mode" and a largely unworkable "Imbalanced Mode". Its heft and outward-loaded weight suit hard-hitting builds, though the low-hanging metal invites floor scrapes in most other setups.
In Play
Its weight and spread favour attack-minded builds willing to accept scrape risk, but newer, heavier discs with cleaner weight spread have left it behind, so the community treats it as a shelf piece rather than a tournament pick.
- Released in Japan September 21st, 2019 with the B-150 Union Achilles Convert Xtend+ Retsu booster.
- Brought to western markets by Hasbro as Convert-P in the Union Achilles Convert-P Xtend+ Retsu Pro Series starter pack.
