About This Part

Central is a Disc made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System. It debuted in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-04 Starter, Kerbeus Central Defense, then reached western stores through Hasbro's Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack. It carries a thickened ring around its centre with a thinned outer edge, a layout meant to concentrate weight near the middle and raise spin velocity, which in turn should sharpen impact force in attack builds or add knock-out resistance in defence builds. A small indent on one side keeps the disc from being perfectly even, but the bigger problem is that Central is simply too light overall for its centralised weight to matter, leaving too little mass for either meaningful attack or real knock-out resistance.

In Play

Community opinion rates Central as outclassed even by Yell, itself already considered a weak Disc, since Central's centralised weight distribution cannot compensate for how light the piece is; it is kept for collecting rather than competitive use.

  • Released in Japan on July 18th, 2015 with the B-04 Starter, Kerbeus Central Defense.
  • Released in western markets with Hasbro's Spryzen and Odax Dual Pack, B9493.

The Competitive View

The Centralized Weight Distribution is meant to raise spin velocity for Attack impact or Defense Knock-Out resistance, but Central's light overall weight leaves too little mass for either effect to matter in practice.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Central is outclassed by Yell, itself already considered an outclassed part; it is recommended for collection purposes only.

  • Thickened central ring, thinned perimeter (Centralized Weight Distribution)
  • Small indent on one side (minor, non-primary imbalance)

Related parts named in the draft: Yell.
