About This Part
Blitz is a Disc made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System and the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan on March 16th, 2019 with the B-134 Booster, Slash Valkyrie Blitz Power Retsu, then reached western stores as Blitz-P through Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Cho-Z Valtryek Blitz-P Jolt. The disc is three-sided with a riveted plastic piece underneath carrying three flaps meant to lift outward at high spin speed for better weight distribution in attack, though in practice that lifting effect barely registers. Blitz is otherwise well balanced across attack, defence and stamina use, and among Gatinko Layer System discs it is one of the heavier options while avoiding the scraping problem that troubles discs such as Convert.
In Play
Community opinion rated Blitz a must-own attack disc within the Gatinko Layer System when it launched, given its weight and three-sided shape, but considers it too light to hold up against newer discs in later formats, leaving it collection-only in Standard, Limited and Classic play.
