About This Part
Around is a Disc made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System and the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan on July 20th, 2019 as part of the B-146 Random Booster Vol. 16, then reached western stores under the name Around-P through Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack, Lord Spryzen Around-P Fusion'. Built wide and circular with four sides like Sting, it pairs a metal core with a plastic underside and a free-spinning metal ball at each of its four points, and those balls are meant to roll along the stadium floor whenever the beyblade tilts into contact. The design gives Around excellent weight distribution for both attack and stamina builds, and it pairs especially well with drivers such as Xtend+ and Bearing' that already favour opposite-spin stamina, though unlike Sting its underside can scrape the stadium floor late in a battle.
In Play
Community use includes a spin-equalisation build pairing Master Diabolos 2, Longinus or Spriggan with Around and either Bearing' or Xtend+, run in the Master Base's Left-Spin mode for opposite-spin matchups; the community otherwise treats Around as collection-only in the Standard format once Superking-era discs arrived, and as unusable in both the Burst Limited and Burst Classic formats.
