About This Part
Aero, printed with a stylised alpha as αero, is a Disc made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System. It debuted in Japan in August 2015 inside the B-00α Booster, Amaterios Aero Assault. The piece is a slim, rounded pentagon built from five blades that slope downward, effectively a mirror image of Wing, meant to push air down for grip in Right-Spin or lift the disc slightly in Left-Spin. In practice the blades sit too shallow to create any meaningful downward or upward force, and the disc's thinness leaves it far too light for serious use in any combination; it is also the only Disc in the line never given a Hasbro counterpart.
In Play
Community opinion treats Aero as functionally identical to Wing, sharing its negligible aerodynamic effect and crippling lack of weight, so it is kept mainly by collectors.
- Released in Japan in August 2015 with the B-00α Booster, Amaterios Aero Assault.
- Aero is the only Disc in the Burst line that never received an equivalent release from Hasbro.
The Competitive View
Like Wing, its slim build makes it far too light to matter in any combination, and its blades are too shallow to produce any noticeable down-force or upper-force effect.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Aero performs identically to Wing, sharing its negligible force effect and crippling light weight, and is recommended for collection purposes only.
- Slim, rounded pentagonal shape with five downward-sloping blades (reversed Wing design)
Related parts named in the draft: Wing.
