About This Part
1' is a Takara Tomy Disc that debuted in Japan on August 11th, 2018 inside the B-120 Starter, Buster Xcalibur 1' Sword, and later reached the west through Hasbro's SlingShock Starter Pack, Breaker Xcalius X4 1' Sword-S. Like its predecessor 1 it is an asymmetrical, elliptical Core Disc, with sword-tip shapes on both faces and an extra, larger one on just one side that carries more metal, echoing Quarter's lopsided build. Compared with 1, though, both faces of 1' are mostly filled in rather than hollowed out, so the imbalance is much milder, which makes 1' heavier but weakens the flail-like synergy it has with an Xcalibur Layer.
In Play
The community rates it behind 1 for exactly that reason, and despite the added weight it still trails commonly used Discs such as 0, leaving the community to recommend it only for collecting.
- Released in Japan on August 11th, 2018 in the B-120 Starter, Buster Xcalibur 1' Sword.
- Released in western countries by Hasbro as part of the SlingShock Starter Pack, Breaker Xcalius X4 1' Sword-S.
The Competitive View
The unbalanced weight boosts attack combos by generating flail-like momentum for burst attack, especially paired with the also-unbalanced Buster Xcalibur (where aligning the heavy sides opposite each other instead improves stamina and burst resistance); the same imbalance hurts stamina and defense and slows mobile-attack combinations, making it better suited to stationary attack builds like Buster Xcalibur 1' Cross/Glaive/Star Atomic/Orbit/Revolve/Trans/Needle.
Verdict as the draft gives it: A decent but not must-have Disc for stationary attack combos, especially with the Xcalibur line; rated a welcome collection addition rather than essential.
- Asymmetrical elliptical shape
- Sword-tip protrusions, with one extra-large protrusion on one side
- Heavier and more unbalanced than predecessor 1
Works with
- Synergizes with unbalanced Layers like Buster Xcalibur by aligning heavy sides opposite or with the Layer's imbalance depending on the desired effect.
