About This Part

1 is a Takara Tomy Disc that debuted in Japan on September 15th, 2017 inside the B-92 Starter, Sieg Xcalibur 1 Iron, and later reached the west through Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack, Surge Xcalius X3 1 Iron. As an odd-numbered Core Disc it is asymmetrical, with two small sword-tip shapes on one face and a single larger one on the other, and the larger side is packed with more metal, a lopsided build similar to Quarter. That imbalance either boosts an attack build's burst-attack power by swinging like a flail, or, paired with an already lopsided Layer such as Sieg Xcalibur, evens the whole combination out for better stamina and burst resistance.

In Play

The community rates it ahead of Quarter for attack use and notes it can raise burst rates despite its lighter build, but the same imbalance rules it out for stamina or defence work and slows down mobile attack builds, so bladers pair it with stationary attack combinations such as Sieg Xcalibur 1 Cross/Glaive/Star Atomic/Orbit/Revolve/Trans/Needle, where it adds weight at the main point of contact; overall the community calls it a welcome addition rather than essential.

  • Released in Japan on September 15th, 2017 in the B-92 Starter, Sieg Xcalibur 1 Iron.
  • Released in western countries by Hasbro as part of the SwitchStrike Starter Pack, Surge Xcalius X3 1 Iron.

The Competitive View

The uneven weight distribution boosts burst-attack momentum in attack builds and, thanks to 1's heavier overall weight, can also be used to counterbalance an unbalanced layer such as Sieg Xcalibur for better stamina, but that same imbalance makes 1 burst and lose stamina faster in stamina or defense roles.

  • Debuted B-92 Sieg Xcalibur 1 Iron, September 16, 2017
  • Asymmetrical, elliptical shape designed to support a Frame
