About This Part
Xcalibur is a Takara Tomy DB Core shaped around a large blade, a reference to Excalibur, King Arthur's legendary sword, in a design that echoes its predecessor, the Xeno Xcalibur Layer. It debuted in Japan on July 16th, 2022 with the B-200 Starter, Xiphoid Xcalibur Xanthus Sword'-1, and is the second-heaviest right-spin DB Core and second-heaviest DB Core overall, trailing only Perseus. A two-stage click mechanism swings out a metal sword shape, fully extending on the second click into what the line calls "One Hit Mode", shifting the piece's balance to raise attack potential and pairing with the sword-tip shape of the Xiphoid BU Blade; it also carries two grooves that engage the "BU Lock" feature on the Xanthus and Moon discs for a steadier hold.
In Play
The community generally rates Perseus above it on raw weight, but pairs it with the Xiphoid BU Blade for a genuine synergy boost in attack builds, calling it a welcome addition rather than a must-have for the WBO's Burst format, while it carries no legality in GT, Limited or Classic.
