About This Part
Phoenix is a Takara Tomy DB Core built around the mythical immortal firebird of the same name. It debuted in Japan on October 2nd, 2021 with the B-191 Overdrive Special Starter Set. Four locks give it an average level of burst resistance, but rival right-spin DB Cores such as Kerbeus and Dragon each beat it in one specific area, leaving Phoenix without a standout strength of its own.
In Play
The community considers Phoenix serviceable but generally passes it over for a right-spin DB Core with a clearer edge, and it is not favoured for the WBO's Burst format while sitting outside GT, Limited and Classic entirely.
- Released in Japan on October 2nd, 2021 in the B-191 Overdrive Special Starter Set.
