About This Part
Longinus is a left-spin DB Core from Takara Tomy carrying two metal dragon heads with lance-like detailing, named for the Lance of Longinus from Christian legend and echoing earlier parts such as the Nightmare Longinus Layer and Longinus Gatinko Chip. Three locks, including one extra-thick lock, give it high burst resistance, while its pair of metal dragon heads make it the heaviest left-spin DB Core and the third heaviest of any DB Core, adding the inertia that boosts a build's knockout and burst-attack power.
In Play
The community rates Longinus a must-have for the WBO's Burst format on the strength of its weight, recommending it over Bahamut whenever heft matters more than raw burst resistance; it is barred from the GT, Limited, and Classic formats.
- Debuted in Japan on September 11th, 2021 with the B-189 Booster, Guilty Longinus Karma Metal Destroy-2.
