About This Part

Takara Tomy fields Xiphoid as a right-spin Attack Type BU Blade under the Burst System and the Burst Ultimate Layer Series, with a Dynamite Battle Layer System tag besides, first sold in Japan on July 16th, 2022, through the B-200 Starter, Xiphoid Xcalibur Xanthus Sword'-1. A sword-tip protrusion on its underside serves as its main contact point, echoing the earlier Sieg Xcalibur Layer, and pairing it with the Xcalibur DB Core lines up that Core's metal-sword gimmick with the protrusion to trigger "One Hit Mode", concentrating weight at the tip; the diamond-shaped body also creates four heavy-recoil contact points around its edge. Like other BU Blades, moving the DB Core and Armor between positions swaps it between Low and High Mode.

In Play

The concentrated tip gives it strong Knockout and Burst Attack results, but that same protrusion wears down with repeated use and its attack output fades over time, a weakness rivals such as Guilty avoid while matching its output; competitive players treat it as a welcome but non-essential piece for the WBO's Burst format, and it is not legal in Burst GT, Burst Limited or Burst Classic.

  • Debuted in Japan with the B-200 Starter, Xiphoid Xcalibur Xanthus Sword'-1, on July 16th, 2022.
