About This Part
This right-spin Attack Type Blade, built by Takara Tomy for the Dynamite Battle Layer System, first went on sale in Japan on July 17th, 2021 through the B-187 Starter. Three plastic wings lined with rubber form its main contact points, and three small rubber nubs are built to wear away and snap off over time, awakening the Blade into a more traditional three-sided Attack shape with its wings fully exposed. This awakened form hits harder, making it a strong Knockout and Burst Attack piece, but its aggressive shape also generates heavy recoil, so the community pairs it with a Burst-Lock DB Core like Belial 2 or Belial 3 to guard against self-Bursting; the tips of its three wings are also known to chip after extended use.
In Play
In its awakened form, the community treats Savior as a strong Attack option, even though right-spin rivals such as Ultimate and Xiphoid hit harder for Knockout and Burst Attack; it is not a must-have but is called a welcome addition for the WBO's Burst format, and is not legal in the Burst GT, Limited, or Classic formats.
- Released in Japan on July 17th, 2021 with the B-187 Starter Savior Valkyrie Shot-7.
