About This Part
Salvage is a right-spin Attack Type Blade Hasbro built for the Burst System's QuadDrive line, modelled on Takara Tomy's Savior Blade and debuting in western countries inside a QuadDrive Starter Pack as Salvage Valtryek V7. It carries the same three-sided outline as Savior, with three upward-angled wings for its main contact points inherited from the Valtryek family of Layers, but drops Savior's rubber pieces entirely. Where Savior's rubber nubs wore away over time to unlock an Awakening gimmick, Salvage's equivalent wings are moulded from plastic and stay fixed in place. Its shorter, rounded wingtips give it moderate Attack output, and like other QuadDrive Blades, it can flip between Apex and Core Modes by moving the Gravity Ring above or below the Blade.
In Play
The community finds QuadDrive Blades like Salvage too light to keep up with Dynamite Battle Layer System releases, so it is not recommended for the Burst format, but rates it a welcome, non-essential pick for Burst GT. In Burst Limited its aggressive shape and high recoil earn it a place in right-spin Attack builds, best paired with high-Burst-Resistance Drive Chips such as Perseus P7, making it a welcome addition there too; it is not legal in the Burst Classic format.
- Released in western countries with a QuadDrive Starter Pack as Salvage Valtryek V7 (F4070).
