About This Part
Decay is a right-spin Attack Type Blade Hasbro released for the Burst System and the QuadDrive System, launched in western markets with the Destruction Belfyre B7 and Decay Perseus P7 Dual Pack. Three blades form its main hitting points, and its outline closely follows that of Takara Tomy's Devil, which it also resembles in the way it performs; it plays much like the Destruction QD Blade. Its underside is flat and has no slots for an F Gear, and like other QuadDrive Blades, moving its Gravity Ring from the top to underneath switches it between Apex and Core Modes.
In Play
Decay is built with Attack in mind, but it fares poorly against opponents spinning the opposite way and only middling against opponents spinning the same way. It also cannot take a metal Armor or an L Gear the way Takara Tomy's Devil can, leaving it noticeably light, and QuadDrive Blades in general burst more easily because of their light weight. Competitive players see it as too light to use seriously, outclassed by other Layers.
