About This Part

Hasbro's Astral is a Blade covering both the Burst System and the QuadDrive System, launched in western markets inside the QuadDrive Starter Pack as Astral Spryzen S7 Over-Q Quattro-Q+Quattro I-0. It is a dual-spin Balance Type piece modeled on the left-spin form of Takara Tomy's own Astral, but Hasbro's version stays fixed in that one shape rather than flipping between spin directions. Rather than combining separate rubber and metal blade pieces, it is molded as a single hollow piece of plastic with paint standing in for the rubber sections, which leaves it light for a Layer and gives it an unfavourable shape either way it spins. As with other QuadDrive Blades, moving the Gravity Ring from the top of the piece to underneath switches it between Apex and Core Modes.

In Play

Community players consider QuadDrive Layers such as Astral too light to keep pace with Blades from Takara Tomy's Dynamite Battle Layer System, so it is not favoured for the WBO's Burst format, and its weak shape and weight leave it outclassed in the Burst GT and Burst Limited formats as well; it is not legal for the WBO's Burst Classic format at all.
