About This Part
Royal is a right-spin Base Hasbro released for the Burst System's HyperSphere System, debuting in western markets inside the HyperSphere Starter Pack alongside Royal Genesis G5 Swipe Hybrid-H. Its oval outline is modelled on Takara Tomy's Regalia Genesis layer, but Hasbro reworked the piece into a Base that will pair with any right-spin or dual-spin HyperSphere GT Chip rather than one fixed layer. That change cost it the original's Infinite Lock gimmick and its ability to mount the Bigbang Armor accessory. It is grouped among the line's Stamina types.
In Play
Even when fitted to GT Chips with strong burst resistance, Royal carries too much recoil and raises the odds of bursting open, and its shape offers no clean surface for landing hits either, so the community rates it as outclassed no matter which combination style it is built into across the WBO's Burst, Burst GT and Burst Limited formats, where pieces like Twin Nemesis and Myth fill the same role more effectively. Most collectors keep it purely as a display piece rather than a battler.
