About This Part
Hasbro released Monster as a right-spin, Attack Type Base for the HyperSphere branch of the Burst System. It debuted in western markets in the Monster Ogre O5 and Orb Engaard E5 Dual Pack. Three wings angled upward form its main striking surfaces, giving it an outline close to the Valtryek family of Layers, and its moulding also echoes the shape of the Retsu Weight. Next to other three-sided Attack Bases, its wings are shorter and its overall profile rounder.
In Play
Those stubbier, rounder wings leave Monster with limited hitting power for an Attack Base, and the community finds it more useful inside Defense Combinations than as a genuine attacker.
