About This Part
Takara Tomy built Master as a dual-spin, Balance Type Base for the Gatinko Layer System, later carrying it into the Pro Series System. It first sold in Japan on December 26th, 2019, as the B-155 Starter set Master Diabolos Generate, then crossed into western markets in Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack as Master Devolos 12Turn Zeta. Two long dragon-head blades and two shorter blades make up its four-point layout, giving it a rounded profile with little recoil; flipping the whole Base by hand switches its spin direction, no tool required.
In Play
Setting Master's spin opposite an opponent's cuts recoil further and boosts both defence and stamina, and the community treats it as a strong choice for plain stamina builds as well as spin-equalization setups. Hasbro's Pro Series version follows the same shape as the Takara Tomy original but is moulded from lighter-duty materials. Tournament-wise, the WBO rates it as not needed for the standard Burst format, a must-have for Burst GT, and bans it from both the Limited and Classic formats.
- Released in Japan on December 26th, 2019 as the B-155 Starter, Master Diabolos Generate.
- Released in western markets under Hasbro's Pro Series line as Master Devolos 12Turn Zeta.
- Master was the second dual-spin Base released, after Lord.
