About This Part
Eclipse is a Hasbro Base for the HyperSphere line of the Burst System, launched in the HyperSphere Starter Pack as Eclipse Genesis G5 Swipe Friction-H. It is modelled on Takara Tomy's Bigbang Genesis, a Defense Type Layer, and keeps that piece's overall outline along with a fixed Bigbang Armor moulded straight into the Base rather than left removable. Where the original Bigbang Genesis Layer could not be swapped between GT Chips, Eclipse accepts any right-spin one. It carries a Stamina Type rating on paper, but its sharper, aggressive lines suit it better to Attack setups than to holding a spin.
In Play
Despite being labelled a Stamina piece, community testing treats Eclipse as an Attack Combination component thanks to the aggressive shape it inherited from Bigbang Genesis.
- Debuted in western markets with the HyperSphere Starter Pack, Eclipse Genesis G5 Swipe Friction-H.
