About This Part
Takara Tomy produced Dread, a left-spin Base with a Defense Type rating, for the Gatinko Layer System branch of the Burst System. It went on sale in Japan on May 25th, 2019, packed with B-143 Random Layer Vol. 1 as Dread Bahamut Ten. Four clockwise blades ring the piece with six open gaps between them, and a moving sub-layer is built in as its gimmick. That sub-layer shifts to close off those six gaps, cutting down on the recoil the Base takes in a hit. Its layout closely mirrors the earlier Arc Bahamut piece.
In Play
By letting its sub-layer slide shut over the gaps between blades, Dread cuts recoil in collisions, giving it a defensive edge typical of Bases built this way.
- Released in Japan on May 25th, 2019 with B-143 Random Layer Vol. 1, as Dread Bahamut Ten.
