About This Part

Bushin is a Defense Type Base by Takara Tomy for the Burst System and the Gatinko Layer System, first sold in Japan through the B-135 Booster, Bushin Ashura Hurricane Keep Ten, on March 16th, 2019. Six blades slope downward around its rim in a style close to Rock, but the spaces between them are narrower, which cuts recoil and makes it more usable for Defense builds than Rock is. Like other Defense Bases it leaves less of a Gatinko Chip's teeth exposed, weakening the Chip's burst resistance somewhat, though the low-recoil shape softens that cost; pairing it with strong-toothed Chips such as Dragon or Valkyrie offsets the remaining risk.

In Play

It fits Defense combinations built around Valkyrie or Dragon Chips together with Ten, Zan or Sen Drivers, or the 0, 00, 10 or 7 Drivers, for strong Outward Weight Distribution and good Stamina and Defense, and it also pairs well with Atomic or Orbit Drivers for high life-after-death; the community ranks it as a strong Defense Base without Rock's heavy recoil, though still a step behind earlier Layers such as Archer Hercules, Perfect Phoenix and Hell Salamander — a welcome but non-essential pickup.
