About This Part

Sword is an Armor Tip Hasbro built from the Attack Type Sword Driver for the Burst System, compatible with both the QuadDrive and QuadStrike systems; it debuted in western countries in the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set. Fitted onto a QuadDrive Driver it becomes the "Plus Mode" contact point at roughly SpeedStorm Driver height.

In Play

  • Debuted in the Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set.
  • F7726 Xcalius Power Speed Launcher Set included Xiphoid Xcalius X8 Xanthus-Q Xtend+-Q+Sword-1.
  • As a QuadStrike Armor Tip it does not keep the Sword Driver's shape, instead taking a wide, round form similar to a HyperSphere Driver so it suits a QuadStrike Beystadium, though some design cues from the driver remain.

The Competitive View

Its shape and surface area create Assault-level aggressive movement, but a rough perimeter, low metal-to-floor friction, and wide diameter make banking hard to hold and give poor stamina despite the metal build; the side protrusions never reach the opponent at Burst-system height and instead scrape the stadium floor, killing life-after-death, while its above-average height further hurts attack potential.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Rated for collection purposes only due to poor control, poor stamina, a severe scrape risk, and a height ill-suited for attack combinations.

  • Eight-pointed metal star tip
  • Two sword-shaped side protrusions
  • Taller than most performance tips
