About This Part
Operate is an Armor Tip Hasbro built from Takara Tomy's Operate Driver for the Burst System's QuadDrive line; it debuted in western countries in the Galaxy Orbit Battle Set. Fitted onto a QuadDrive Driver it becomes the "Plus Mode" contact point at roughly SpeedStorm Driver height; it keeps the driver's wide round-tip shape but flattens the ball tip, and, lacking the driver's mode-switching gimmick, is fixed permanently off-centre in Attack Mode.
In Play
- Debuted in the Galaxy Orbit Battle Set.
- F3335 Galaxy Orbit Battle Set.
- Being stuck off-centre in Attack Mode with no gimmick to switch out of it gives Operate an erratic movement pattern.
The Competitive View
The Defense setting lacks the braking tabs of earlier ball tips like Defense, so its Knock-Out resistance trails even the already-outclassed Massive, while the Attack setting's round tip makes its hopping effect inconsistent and unable to hold a Banking Pattern, leaving it worse than standard flat tips like Accel and Xtreme.
Verdict as the draft gives it: The author calls Operate recommended for collection purposes only, judging it versatile in theory but outclassed in both of its modes.
- Adjustable wide ball tip with two settings, switched by sliding the tip's bottom portion
- Compared to a mix of Metal Fight Beyblade's m145 Track and Massive
Related parts named in the draft: m145 Track (Metal Fight Beyblade), Massive, Defense, Accel, Xtreme.
