About This Part

Hunter is an Armor Tip Hasbro produced for the Burst System's QuadDrive line, built as a solid-plastic stand-in for the Hunter Driver; it debuted in the Wrath Fafnir F7 and Berserk Linwyrm L7 Dual Pack. Clipped onto a QuadDrive Driver, it takes over as the stadium contact point in what the maker calls "Plus Mode", raising the combo to roughly the height of a SpeedStorm Driver.

The Competitive View

Hunter's high friction gives it strong, controllable attacks but drains stamina quickly, raises self-burst risk by transferring more force into a layer's teeth or slopes, and wears down over use without gaining stamina in return; unproven reports suggest a heavily worn Hunter may shift toward defensive behavior as it rounds off.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Not a must-have since Xtreme offers more speed and Accel offers more stamina at similar control, but a welcome addition worth owning in multiples if preferred, to replace worn copies.
