Community testing, 2010-12-24 — summarised

The competitive view

A Lupus-themed wheel whose two sets of counter-clockwise-facing, closely packed spikes push into opponents rather than attacking them, giving it no real Attack, Defense, or Stamina use. Paired with the Defense 125 track (a 125 track plus a passive weight ring) and the hemispherical Ball bottom.

Wolf's spike placement causes recoil rather than delivering usable smash in any spin direction, so wheels like Pegasus, Quetzalcoatl, Lightning, Gravity, and Vulcan are preferred for attack; D125's immobile ring adds weight but doesn't actually absorb hits or aid rotation, though it has found niche use in the combos Gravity Perseus D125R2F (defense) and D125RF (attack); Ball's hemispherical shape gives good floor contact and central positioning, useful for Defense.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Predominantly outclassed parts; D125's niche use doesn't justify a purchase on its own. Recommended for collection purposes only.

  • Wheel Wolf weight: 36 grams
  • Track Defense 125 (D125) weight: 1.7 grams, height 12.5 mm
  • Bottom Ball weight: 0.6 grams
  • Other versions: Random Booster Wolf D125B (Red); BB-20 Set Wolf D125B (Red); Booster Wolf 105F; BB-21 Attack & Balance Reshuffle Wolf 125B (Red)
