In play and in the story
Wide Defense 145 trades the free-spinning wobble of Eternal Defense 145 for a steadier stance that resists Upper Attacks better, though its wings lock to the Track and generate heavy recoil against low attackers; the community rates it below TR145, R145, SW145, UW145, C145, ED145, M145, BD145, GB145 and CH120 in CH145 mode because of that recoil. The Wide Defense tip beneath it wobbles at a wide angle for a long time at low spin, which helps against Stamina types nearing collapse but leaves it exposed late in a battle to an opponent with a stronger launch, and it out-performs Semi-Defense and W2D on balance while trailing WB on raw defence despite recovering faster.
