Season · Spin-offs

Beywarriors: Cyborg

The eighth installment of the mainline Beyblade anime, succeeding Beyblade: Shogun Steel and marking the last Nelvana/d-rights co-production and Nelvana's final involvement in the franchise. Set roughly in the 22nd century on the abandoned planet Teslandia, youths under 17 bond with devices called Beyraiderz to summon half-human, half-machine Cyborg Warriors and battle each other to convert Sanctuary energy into collectible Tokens. Announced in 2013 under working titles including 'Beyraiderz Shogun,' its release slipped for over a year before a 2014 Italian premiere, and after Shogun Steel and Beyraiderz underperformed, Nelvana dropped the project, leaving it unreleased in North America.

  • Eighth installment of the mainline Beyblade anime, succeeding Beyblade: Shogun Steel; the last Nelvana/d-rights co-production and Nelvana's final involvement in the Beyblade franchise.
  • Set roughly in the 22nd century on the abandoned planet Teslandia, where youths under 17 bond with 'Beyraiderz' devices to summon half-human, half-machine 'Cyborg Warriors' and battle for energy Tokens.

  • Premiered in Italy on K2 October 18, 2014, though only 14 of 28 episodes aired there; the full series aired on Toonami Asia and streamed on Anime Hodai.
  • Announced in May 2013 under working titles 'Beywarriors: Cyborg' and 'Beyraiderz Shogun,' with a planned Fall 2014 release that slipped after Nelvana dropped the 'Cyborg' title from its 2015-2016 programming newsletter.
  • After the poor performance of Beyblade: Shogun Steel and Beywarriors: Beyraiderz, Nelvana dropped the series; distribution passed to d-rights and Hasbro canceled its companion toyline.
  • English dub, possibly recorded in Hong Kong rather than Canada, premiered on Toonami Asia/Toonami India October 3, 2015; later dubbed into Turkish (2016) and Tagalog (2017).
  • As of 2025 the series remains unreleased in North America despite Disney XD acquiring the full Beyblade catalog's rights in late 2016, and is considered unlikely to be released there following Beyblade X's launch.
