August Claudius Lucius

Biography

Augusto Claudius Lucius, also called August Claudius Lucius, is a main character of BeyWarriors: Cyborg, the young royal ruler of the nation of Sunburst who travels through Teslandia with companion Marius collecting Tokens for his city. Formal, courteous, and unusually humble about his status for a royal, he treats commoner Marius as an equal, yet carries a streak of national pride and low tolerance for lawbreakers, as shown when he punishes an ally, Gai, for defying a summit ruling. His Cyborg Warrior, Sabre Lion, is a versatile powerhouse combining raw strength, ranged light-beam attacks, and roars strong enough to floor heavyweight rivals.

Augusto initially comes across as formal, calm, courteous and lively company. His royal standing doesn't make him snobbish in every direction — he treats Marius politely despite Marius's status as a commoner in Sunburst, recognising him as a fellow Beyfighter and letting him choose whether to serve under him. Even so, his position as Sunburst's ruler, his late father's legacy, and his own youth combine to make him look down on outsiders, particularly bladers from other nations, to the point of conceit; he even argues that Teslandia ought to be ruled by Sunburst purely because of the shared name. He is just as unforgiving toward anyone who breaks the law, as shown when Gai defied a summit meeting's ruling — Augusto treated the battle that followed as punishment for what he saw as a disgrace to Beyfighters everywhere.
