The Metal Face Bolt is a metal-bodied take on the Hybrid Wheel System's Face Bolt, built to add and shift weight in a Beyblade build rather than just seal the Beyblade shut, typically weighing about 4.7 grams and shortened to MF or MF2 in customization notes. Takara Tomy sold it as a standalone accessory and occasionally bundled it into sets, while Hasbro packaged it only alongside Beyblades sold with video games. It appears once in the anime, in the episode It's Our Special Move! Sagittario, when Madoka Amano hands one to Kenta Yumiya for use with Flame Sagittario C145S. A heavier successor, the Custom Ver. or MF2, arrived in Japan on July 24, 2010, split into a swappable Core and Plate so a blader can dial in the weight.
L-Drago Destroy DF105LRF's Gold Armored Ver. carries its own engraved Metal Face Bolt, named Metal Face L-Drago Ver.
Sol Blaze V145AS likewise has a uniquely engraved version, called Metal Face Blaze Ver.
The Light MF2 combination outweighs the Middle MF2 despite its name.
The threading that actually holds the Beyblade together stays plastic even on a metal-bodied Face Bolt; fully-metal counterfeit copies exist and can damage the Spin Track.
As with any Face Bolt, over-tightening it can strip that threading.
