Ryan Gladstone

Biography

Ryan Gladstone is BeyWheelz' main antagonist, the DREAM chairman whose hand was maimed by a dimensional gateway he discovered while searching for a way into the world of standard Beyblades. Publicly a beloved mentor to young wheelers, he secretly created both Team Estrella and the villainous Dominators as two arms of a single scheme to find a wheeler strong enough to take his place through the gate, ultimately battling Sho Tenma himself before being defeated and the gate's threat ended.

Small and slim for his age, Ryan has heterochromia — a green left eye and a red right eye — and dim blue hair that falls in bangs while flaring into spiked sideburns. His left hand was lost in an accident and replaced with a prosthetic hidden under a black glove. He wears a gold jacket patterned in red with black diamond pins on a grey collar, and blue trousers tucked into white boots trimmed with silver gems. Meeting the Dominators, he covers himself in a dark, deep-hooded robe. His right eye turned red after the injury that cost him his hand, and only returned to green after his loss to Sho. In one battle he fights using a mechanical forearm fitted with a BeyWheelz launcher.

Ryan's devotion to BeyWheelz runs deep, and his caring, respectable manner toward others reflects that passion; he even took on the chairmanship of DREAM so he could personally watch over young BeyWheelers as they came up. He gets genuine enjoyment from watching matches and looks forward to the world championships each year. That warm exterior turns out to hide something else: after the Judgment Bey affair, he's shown to be power-hungry and unstable, scheming to pull Team Estrella into the Dominators so he can seize control of the other Bey world.
