Biography

Maru is a Beyblade Mechanic and Data Collector in Beyblade: Shogun Steel, scanning competitors' Beys with her laptop at Metal Bey City's Bey-Park. She becomes fascinated by newcomer Zyro Kurogane's power, watches his battle against Shinobu Hiryūin, and afterward starts helping train him at Benkei's restaurant alongside Benkei himself, under mentor Madoka Amano's guidance. Visually and functionally she echoes Madoka's earlier mechanic role and Kenny's from the original series, right down to referring to herself in third person, and is notably the only Beyblade Mechanic in the franchise who owns no Beyblade of her own.

Appearance

What They Look Like

Pink hair and wide violet eyes mark Maru out at a glance, along with the goggles she wears pushed up on her brown hat. Her outfit is a cream vest with yellow pockets, worn over a pink jumpsuit decorated with blue and red badges, and she finishes it off with dark pink, fur-trimmed boots done up in yellow. Her whole look, height included, echoes Madoka Amano, her mentor from the Metal Saga, and calls back further still to Kenny from the original series.
