Biography

Madoka Amano is Team GanGan Galaxy's mechanic and analyst throughout the Metal Saga, running the B-Pit shop with her unseen father and using her laptop and BeyComputer to repair Beyblades and scout rivals' weaknesses. Kind, motherly, and occasionally hot-tempered, she rarely battles herself but supports Gingka Hagane and friends from Metal Fusion through Metal Fury, later reappearing as an adult in Shogun Steel running the B-Pit and mentoring her own apprentice, Maru. She and Gingka share a close, trusting friendship that anchors much of the group's emotional core across the saga.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Short maroon hair frames her face and lengthens toward her shoulders at the back, usually worn with goggles pushed up on top of her head, above blue eyes. In Metal Fusion and Metal Masters she wears a sleeveless pink jacket with yellow buttons over a white T-shirt marked with a blue B, a brown belt with gold buttons and a pink-and-gold pouch, brown gloves, a short blue skirt, thigh-high white socks and pink boots. Metal Fury swaps the jacket for a pink vest, keeps the belt, pouch and gloves, and pairs a pleated skirt with navy socks and brown boots. As an adult in Shogun Steel her hair has grown out, the goggles replaced by a pink hairband, and she wears a burnt-yellow jacket, an off-white shirt with yellow trim, a pink-charmed necklace, a frilly black skirt and brown boots.

Warmth and a motherly streak run through everything she does for Gingka and his friends, including her insistence on good manners. Mechanical skill is her real gift: she builds and studies Beyblades far more than she battles with one, and her passion for the sport shows in how closely she follows every match, sometimes stepping in to stop a fight the moment she senses an opponent's bey has been damaged. Loyalty runs just as deep — she stays up all night repairing everyone's gear, cooks for the group unasked, and has picked up real hacking skills that prove useful when the team needs to breach hostile systems. A hot temper surfaces when people around her act unreasonably, but mostly she is the steady, dependable one, laptop in hand, running simulations and reading trouble in a Beyblade before anyone else notices.

A mechanic, not a competitor: her one win comes from out-analysing Doji's computer with a generic Beyblade, and her real strength is reading data.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • Series creator Takafumi Adachi has said Madoka is not one of his own character designs.
  • Despite barely battling, she is a playable character in the Metal Masters video game.
  • Metal Fury's character list names her possible Bey as 'Mad Gasher,' differing slightly from the 'Mad Northern Cross 145F' named on her own page.
