Biography

Argo Garcia, or Algo Gracie in Japan, is a recurring antagonist across the Metal Saga and later Beyblade: Shogun Steel, leading Team Garcias alongside his siblings Ian, Selen, and Enso. Ruthless and power-hungry after a hard upbringing on the streets, he battles with the attack-type Ray Gil 100RSF and repeatedly resorts to underhanded tactics, ambushing Yu Tendo and later serving Hades Inc. before being defeated by Tsubasa Otori. He resurfaces in Shogun Steel as a DNA leader controlling Kira and Yoshio, but is overthrown by Doji and vanishes from the story afterward.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Argo stands tall and broad-shouldered, a young Brazilian blader with black hair worn in dreadlocks beneath a large red headband. His original look pairs a red tank top with a heavier blue vest over it, forearm wraps and brown gloves on his arms, and green shorts cinched by a black belt above brown shoes. Once the story moves into Shogun Steel, he cuts his dreadlocks shorter, pulling them back and leaving a single strand hanging over his forehead. His clothing turns more formal too: a violet pop-collared shirt sits under a thin-striped white suit jacket, matched with white trousers, white shoes and a small gold pendant.

Winning is the only thing Argo values, and he will chase it through outright cowardice and cruelty rather than skill alone. A rough upbringing on the streets left him distrustful of nearly everyone, and he came to treat Beyblading purely as a means to an end rather than a sport worth respecting. He has no qualms about hurting an opponent or pushing others into doing his dirty work for him, and that same willingness to cheat spread to his own siblings. Arrogance runs deep in him too, bordering on a superiority complex, and he holds bitter grudges against anyone who has beaten him — none more than Tsubasa, whose victory over him he has never let go.
