About This Part
Leone launched the Leone line of Wheels for the Metal System and was the first Defense-type Wheel Takara Tomy produced, debuting in Japan with the BB-04 Starter Leone 145D on August 9, 2008. Six lion-paw-like protrusions ring its edge, each pair separated by a V-shaped gap, with three of the paws sloped outward and downward and left unpainted. An early prototype gave each of three protrusions four claws, but Takara Tomy removed them before release to raise its Defense performance.
In Play
Leone ranks among the heaviest Wheels in the Metal System and the community rates it one of the strongest anti-Attack parts available under the WBO's Limited Format, even though its compact build suffers from high recoil that has let later Fusion Wheels outclass it in general Defense play. That still makes it a worthwhile pickup for anyone competing where the parts that overshadow it are restricted.

- The Counter Fusion Wheel's shape is based on Leone.
