About This Part
Claw 145, or C145, is a Spin Track for the Hybrid Wheel System that debuted with Flame Sagittario C145S in April 2009. It weighs 3.2 grams and stands 14.50mm tall, with three wings joined loosely to its underside that swing outward under spin velocity once launched, a movement Takara Tomy's own line describes as claws that unfurl to boost centrifugal force. That free motion lets it absorb low hits with little spin loss, and its extra weight over a plain 145 Track once made it a staple of Defense builds, until the heavier Boost Disk 145 offered better underside protection, and later parts from the 4D era and after left it with no remaining competitive use.
In Play
It once anchored Defense combinations, but the community now considers it obsolete against Boost Disk 145 and the Attack and Defense parts that followed in the 4D era.
- Debuted with the release of Flame Sagittario C145S in April 2009.
- Its free-moving claws work much like the Claw Performance Tip and its variants used later in the Burst Series.
