About This Part

Armor Defense 145, or AD145, is a Takara Tomy Spin Track that debuted in Japan on June 26, 2010 with the BB-80 Starter Gravity Perseus AD145WD, reaching western shelves in May 2011 through the Gravity Destroyer AD145WD Starter Pack. Shaped like a rounded funnel head, it carries two curving protrusions acting as armor plating, with a pair of smaller protrusions set between them leaving visible gaps. Built with Defense combinations in mind, it ended up too light to absorb hits as well as Gravity Ball 145 or the 230 Track, and Boost Disk 145 later beat it outright on Defense, while Wing 145 has overtaken it across the board.

In Play

Despite its Defense-focused design, the community now passes over AD145 for Gravity Ball 145, 230, Boost Disk 145 or Wing 145 in nearly every role.
