About This Part
Metal Flat Core reworks Gaia Dragoon MS's Flat Core with a metal tip in place of plastic, giving it stronger movement speed, survival and durability than the part it replaces, with a top end that rivals Metal Change Core and trails only Grip Flat Core and its Ultimate Version. Weighing 3 grams, it also ranks as the third-shortest Running Core made, behind only those same two Grip Flat Cores, which suits it to upper-attack and compact-attacker builds.
In Play
Community players get the most from it with the Sliding Shoot technique; launched normally it runs wild and is hard to control, and outside a stadium with a Tornado Ridge it is difficult to manage at all. Because its metal tip resists wear far better than Grip Flat Core's rubber, it also turns up in high-spin Smash Attack builds meant to counter the common Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Version) setups seen at tournaments.
- Its design and function are compared to Metal Flat from the Metal Series and to Iron and its variants from the Burst Series.
