About This Part
Eternal Defense Spike, also called Eternal Defense Sharp and abbreviated EDS, is a Performance Tip Takara Tomy debuted in Japan on June 18, 2011 with the BB-113 Starter Scythe Kronos T125EDS, reaching western markets in May 2012 via Hasbro's B-150 Scythe Kronos T125EDS Starter Pack. It reworks Defense Spike with a free-spinning tip, in the same family as Eternal Spike and Spike, and its unusual height keeps taller Spin Tracks such as 85 or Boost Disk 145 from scraping the stadium floor.
In Play
Its spike section wears down with use and eventually turns the tip flat, so competitive bladers keep multiple copies ready for tournament play.
- Debuted in Japan on June 18, 2011 with the BB-113 Starter Scythe Kronos T125EDS.
- Reached western countries in May 2012 with the B-150 Scythe Kronos T125EDS Starter Pack.
