About This Part
Clay is Takara Tomy's plastic take on the Counter Fusion Wheel, sold under the Hybrid Wheel System as a Light Wheel and first released in Japan on March 28, 2009 with Random Booster Light Vol. 1. Its printed description reads, "Designed to minimize impact of the opposition's attacks," and the mold follows Counter's shape with only minor cosmetic changes. Building it from plastic instead of metal keeps the weight well down.
In Play
That lighter build leaves Clay prone to cracking in real battles, and the community treats it as a collector's piece rather than a combat part.
- Debuted in Japan on March 28, 2009 with Random Booster Light Vol. 1.
- Rock's mold was originally meant to carry over from Clay unchanged, but designers reworked its shape after judging it too powerful, and Clay's own silhouette later resurfaced in Counter.
