About This Part
Vulcan is a Fusion Wheel for the Hybrid Wheel System that first shipped on October 21st, 2010 with Vulcan Horuseus 145D. Its shape carries two semicircular prominences and two smaller wings, each marked with a pair of red stripes. The sloped faces of the prominences look built for Upper Attack but in practice deliver Smash Attack instead, with the smaller wings between them serving as further contact points.
In Play
Vulcan has slipped out of favour since rubber-based Defense Bottoms like RS became common, since it struggles to knock them out, and wheels such as Variares and Blitz have since overtaken it; a heavier second mould — used for Random Booster Vol. 7 Beat Lynx and all Hasbro releases, at roughly 33.2g against the original's 32.1g — cuts recoil and is the community's pick for competitive use, though even that mould cannot trouble heavyweights like Basalt, Duo, or the Synchrom Defense builds introduced in Beyblade: Shogun Steel.
