About This Part
Fang is a Fusion Wheel Takara Tomy made for the 4D System, debuting in Japan on March 26th, 2011 with the BB-106 Starter Fang Leone 130W²D and reaching western shelves in July 2014 as the BB-106 Beyblade Legends Starter Pack. Built from a Metal Frame and Core, it carries six alternating wide and narrow square protrusions and a mode-change gimmick that flips the Metal Frame between a rounded Defense Mode and a claw-baring Counter Mode.
In Play
Counter Mode is the more useful setting since it delivers real smash attack, and the wheel's weight and shape suit attack-type builds best, as its high recoil rules out defensive use; even so, later 4D Metal Wheels have outclassed it, leaving the community to treat it mainly as a collector's piece.
