About This Part
Dragoon G's Left Engine Gear carries a Metal Semi-Flat tip that, despite the name, sits nearly flat with only lightly rounded edges, giving it aggressive movement and solid Survival. It debuted with the release of Dragoon G, and its Engine Gear mechanism adds a burst of speed timed by whichever Blade Base it's paired with.
In Play
The tip rarely puts that speed burst to good use, and its most common effect is knocking the Beyblade out on its own; its tall profile also limits it to a narrow set of impractical or bulky Engine-Gear-compatible Bases, leaving the community with no real competitive use for it.
- Debuted with the A-89 Starter Dragoon G
Collector's Note
More of a small flat tip than a true semi-flat since its edges aren't bevelled, giving moderately aggressive but limited movement. Its Engine Gear activation does little useful — if it fires early it can break the flower pattern and sometimes self-KO. It's usually better left unwound, since the tip lacks the grip to exploit any extra rotation or speed, leaving an excessively tall attack setup; being left-spin, it also has no useful overhanging attack rings and no compatible Final Clutch base able to connect with opponents, both of which further cap it. Used on Dragoon G.
