About This Part
Zurafa, sold in Japan under the name Giraffe, is an elliptical Energy Ring with a scale-textured interior, an opaque flame motif running along the points of the ellipse, and a small protrusion on each side. Takara Tomy released it as part of the Hybrid Wheel System, debuting with Rock Zurafa R145WB on May 22, 2010.
In Play
Its uneven weight spread and non-circular shape leave it outclassed by Gasher, Cygnus and Darkhelm for Defense or Stamina, and it only really pairs well with the lightweight Vulcan Fusion Wheel; the community keeps it around mainly for the WBO's Metal Fight Limited format rather than as a first-choice part.
- Debuted with Rock Zurafa R145WB, May 22, 2010
The Competitive View
Its elliptical, uneven-weighted shape underperforms rounder Energy Rings for stamina/defense; it can suit some Attack Fusion Wheels by exposing or backing their contact points, but only meaningfully helps the already-outclassed Vulcan wheel, while Scorpio, Orion and Gemios all outperform it on the stronger Flash wheel.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed by Gasher, Cygnus and Darkhelm for stamina/defense; only situationally useful on Vulcan for attack.
