About This Part

L-Drago II, also called L-Drago Absorb, is an Attack Type Energy Ring made by Takara Tomy as the successor to L-Drago I. It debuted in Japan inside the BB-88 Starter Meteo L-Drago LW105LF on September 18, 2010, then reached western shelves in May 2011 through the Triple Battle Set. It keeps the three dragon heads of the original but adds rubber sections, giving Meteo L-Drago its spin-absorption gimmick and making the ring one of the heaviest of its era. Sliding it into either of two positions on the Meteo Fusion Wheel switches it between Assault Mode and Rapid-Hit Mode, though the two settings differ only slightly in how much spin they steal.

In Play

The rubber lets it work in Stamina Type builds against opposite-spin opponents, though the same feature dampens its own hits and undercuts its listed Attack role; competitive players still treat it and Meteo as a must-have for the WBO's Metal Fight Limited format, even after heavier wheel combinations passed them by in the standard game.
