SG Metal Ball Base is a Blade Base for the Spin Gear System that first shipped on Draciel S. It carries a rounded metal tip and an internal cavity that accepts up to two sets of metal balls, and can separately mount a Heavy Metal Core, pushing its total weight past 20 grams in its heaviest configuration. The bare base weighs 8 grams, rising to 10 with one set of balls and 12 with two.

The community rates it as one of the strongest bases for Defense builds: the metal tip keeps friction low so the beyblade holds the stadium centre, while the extra ball weight offsets the usual risk of a low-friction tip getting knocked around.
