About This Part
Fortress is a Blade Base from the Spin Gear System that debuted with Draciel F in September 2001. It pairs a round metal tip with the SG Oil Ball's oil-cushioned metal ball, and it can carry extra loose metal balls in an internal pocket and small side holes to add weight, provided it is paired with a matching Weight Disk. Stock weight is 12 grams, rising to 14 with one set of metal balls (its original configuration), 16 with two sets, and 18 with three, and it can also accept Bearing-type Spin Gears.
In Play
The community rates it among the strongest Defense-oriented Blade Bases of the plastic generation, its low-friction metal tip staying planted near the stadium's centre once extra weight is added, though current World Beyblade Organization rules now cap it at a single set of metal balls, well below its original heaviest configuration.
- Released with Draciel F in September 2001.
