About This Part
The Dragoon G version of Instant Release is a Blade Base built for the Engine Gear System, designed to fire an Engine Gear core the instant the Beyblade is launched. It first shipped in December 2002 inside the A-89 Dragoon G starter set and weighs 7 grams. Eight protrusions ring its edge: four shaped like those on Eight Spiker, and four smaller ones without spikes.
In Play
Those protrusions let it graze lower opponents to some degree, but the base gives back so much recoil that it rarely sees competitive play.
