About This Part
First Clutch Base, called the Instant Release Base in the west, is a family of Blade Bases for the Engine Gear System built to fire their Engine Gear's motor fully and immediately at the moment of launch. The first version shipped in the A-89 Dragoon G starter pack in December 2002, and Takara Tomy and Hasbro went on to produce several molds under the name, each shaped for a specific Beyblade: an eight-bladed Attack-leaning version for Dragoon G, a circular Defense-leaning version for Driger G, a four-bladed low-profile Attack version for Dragoon GT, and an open, lightweight Defense-rimmed version for Zeus.
